in a surprisingly well-balanced article in the Sunday Denver Post this week
(september 14), the basic ezzo story was told with many rebuttals from
various experts. it is of some local interest because the co-conspirator
excuse me my computer must have taken over, the co-author of Baby-wise, dr.
robert bucknam. dr. bucknam says he tried the program because his first child
was "a disaster." he goes on to say, "then our third child was a tough one."
Not exactly who i would choose for a doctor!
in this article there is a direct quote from mr. ezzo, from the "preparation
for parenting" course, in which he defends allowing babies to cry by pointing
out that "the Father did not intervene when His Son cried out on the cross."
this provoked such a terrible response from me on several levels, i will just
leave it for everyone to draw their own conclusion. but i am wondering if
anyone has read Dr. Sears' book, The Ministry of Parenting Your Baby. i
obtained a copy of it with great difficulty last year (it is now out of
print) for a relative. i just skimmed through it, but it seems like a good
response to offer someone in regards to questions about the ezzo program.
does anyone know how to contact the Sears'?
