The original researcher of Redux at MIT, Judith Wasserman, has written a
book for all us lay folk about her 20 years of studying weight loss and
developing Redux. It is called "The Serotonin Solution". In it, she
basically says, "don't take this drug, what I've learned about serotonin
is that you can manipulate your levels by eating differently, but this
is free and no-one will make any money from you doing this" (sound like
any other industry we all know?), and she goes on to provide several
different eating plans, including The Tired Mommy Diet, which would
probably be ideal for your client. The book was just published last
year, so I'm certain it is still easily available. In the appendix to
the book, she provides a very credible reading of the research and known
dangers regarding fen-phen and Redux - and the dangers are real - and
also of the dangers of fen-phen, the *combination* of which has *not*
been researched (the combination, mind you; the drugs have only been
researched separately). All this fen-phen hoopla is one of the largest,
non-consented "in vivo experiments to come through in a long time (next
to infant formula, of course!).
