Sorry this is late, I am behind...
Plugged nipple pores seem to be pretty persistent.  In this case, the
initial mastitis was treated with amoxicillin, not the drug of choice.
I would expect the dicloxicillin to work if there is an infectious
process going on.
        One thing that has helped my clients with this problem is using an
extremely hot wet compress on the nipple pore immediately before nursing
the baby or pumping with a hospital grade electric pump.  This may need
to be repeated for several days until the plugged pore clears.  The
mastitis can be the result of poor drainage due to this plug.  It can
also help to position the infant's tongue under the plugged lobe of the
breast if it can be identified to increase drainage.
