I know this is not "slugnet" -- but a quicknote to Kathy A. -- there is a copper
barrier tape that you can put around raised beds or the trunks of trees.  The snails and slugs won't cross it.  It doesn't kill them, so you don't have to deal with the flies attracted by the demised critters.  Love, Chanita
