The writer who suggested smelling lemons reminded me that I've always
figured the traditional craving for pickles and ice cream during pg must be
from a need for easy calories... and pickles to help combat the nausea of
eating the ice cream.
Dill pickles always taste good to me regardless of degree of nausea, and a
friend w/ chronic nausea who said nothing sounded good to her agreed that
pickles did, once she thought about it. Not a life-sustaining food, but
perhaps one that will make other foods more tolerable...
