I was delighted to find in today's mail my copy of _American Material
Culture: The Shape of the Field_, 1997, edited by Ann Smart Martin and
J. Ritchie Garrison, Henry Francis du Pont Winterthur Museum ,
Winterthur, Delaware, and The University of Tennessee Press, Knoxville.

My paper, "Material Culture and the Performance of Sociocultural
Identity: Community, Ethnicity, and Agency in the Burial Practices at
the First African Baptist Church Cemeteries, Philadelphia, 1810-41," is
found on pages 359-379.

I also call the list's attention to James Cusick's paper,
"Archaeological Perspectives on Material Culture and Ethnicity," on
pages 317-357 in the same volume.

Don't known how much they are charging for it.

P.S. To those who requested copies of the page proofs - they are in the
mail. Really!

Regards,
John
