I am putting out a call for papers for an SHA symposium on the subject of
the Internet. I envision the title being something like, "HISTORICAL
ARCHAEOLOGY AND THE INTERNET: FRIEND OR FOE?"

The symposium is planned as a way to introduce the Internet to our
non-computer literate colleagues. It will cover the usefulness, and
sometimes the useless information that can be unearthed.

If you are interested in such a symposium (at the Society for Hisorical
Archaeology meetings, Atlanta, January 1998), please send your name and
e-mail address to me at [log in to unmask] Thanks!
