Every time I think we are getting ahead on the scheduling of baby
outbreaks- I get some new cases. This time it is a two month old at 5 ounces
over birth weight and a three month old freshly discharged after a 5 week
hospitalization for complete digestive track shutdown (5 ounces under birth
weight at seven weeks) costing over $70,000.
I am really thankful for professionals that have spent their time and
energy to get the word out about these rigid scheduling programs. Please
remember that this is a possibility with any weight gain problem. The second
baby I just mentioned is now under the care of pediatric gastroenterologists
who have no clue as to what started this problem and have the baby on
prescription formula believing that there is a severe digestive problem- not
that the mother just basically starved her baby. I will talk to them tomorrow
as their office is next door to mine.
I wish these parents had legal recourse against the authors of these
programs.
In rainy, cloudy Central Florida and with a toothache on top of
everthing else!!!
