Our WIC Administrative Office has been advised by M-J that they will no longer
be manufacturing Gerber Powder Formula.  They have been producing it for as
long as it has been marketed.  This will indeed be happening June 1997.
However it is only the powder formulation that will not be made there and this
does not preclude Gerber from getting someone else to manufacture it.  The
notice did state that supplies may be limited or not available shortly after
this date.
