I've been reading through materials about yeast preparing to do a
presentation on yeast and the breastfeeding dyad. I came across mention of a
culture test for yeast (Microstix Candida, #3004 by Ames) that only takes 24
hours. The material I'm reading is by Kay Hoover. Does anyone have any
experience using this test for yeast? Can anyone tell me where to get it and
the cost? Is this test conclusive enough to convince physicians of nipple
thrush? We continue to have a problem getting local physicians to believe
mom can have yeast on nipples when baby has no thrush visible in baby's
mouth. Any information would be appreciated.

Warm regards,
