I have a question concerning an artifact we at the Kentucky Archaeological
Survey (KAS) excavated last summer. Has anyone ever found or seen a small
(1.5cm) round glass stamp with "MOURN NOT AS OTHERS" written in reversed text
around a cherub icon? Or anything like this? Would this have stamped wax on
funeral announcements? Or in ink? The context is an 1880s cistern on a
hotel site in Frankfort, Kentucky.

Any thoughts?
