I have a client who has been told to stay on her gestational diabetes diet
by her obstetrician and a dietrician for a month postpartum. If she dosen't
stay on the diet for 1 month postpartum, her baby (to be breastfeeding, of
course) may have trouble with hypoglycemia.

I have never heard of this before. In our hopsital after the delivery, moms that
experienced gest diabetes resume a regular diet right away.... babes are screened prn of
BS problems if symptoms warrant it.
