I am remined of the UC Berkeley attempt (Deetz and students) to "find"
ethnicity in the coal mining town of Somersville (Contra Costa County,
California). Five different ethnic groups were documented on the site
(Chinese, Welsh, Anglo...) and it was known where members of each group
lived. It didn't work. Anyone remember more?
