Thanks to all who sent suggestions regarding the cracked/bleeding nipples
which resolved without obvious intervention.  I may never know what it
was that I missed but I'm glad that it resolved.  I was just curious how
often things which look so bad just get better anyway.
By the way, Assunta, you mentioned that with one of your mothers you saw
what the problem was when she hand-expressed.  What exactly was she doing
