Hi to all
I have been lurking for some time now just reading and reading. What
a great group!! My personal background includes a degree in Dental Hygiene
and Public Health Adminisrtation. I am currently the local Assisitant Area
Professional Liason for La Leche League in Florida.
I have a question for anyone out there who can help. A fellow LLLeader
has been given a RX for a .75% Metronidazole cream for her face for the
treatment of rosatia. The Dr. said that this was the ONLY treatment for an
uncurable disease which could leave her with permanent lumps and spider
veins all over her face. She is currently nursing a one year old so the Phys.
did not choose the oral dose of the same med. I was also wondering about
the contact with the baby which might result in both topical as well as oral
contact for the child since the mom is supposed to apply this cream liberally
several times during the day.I could not find any info in either Briggs or Hale's
books on the topical application of this drug. Any info would be greatly
appreciated. This Mom has an appointment with another dermatologist on
monday for a second opinion.
Thanks so much!!
