Dear Lactnetters,
I've had a question from an Ob-Gyn about induced lactation for an
adopted baby (months away). He was asking about possible drugs that would
help, in particular any info on Estraderm patches and Depo Provera in combo
to initiate lactation. Someone else had found some reference to this
suggestion which I have not heard of (not saying much, I realize!). Anyway,
most of what I've read suggests that drug therapy is not any more effective
than pumping, nipple stimulation, baby suckling, .... Any references or
recommendations from y'all? I'm thrilled to have the question but sad that
this is out of town and unlikely I'll be able to see the future mom in person.
