Dear Jill,

I just learned about this in the BSC class.  You can cut the hub end off with a
sharp knife.  It doesn't have to be dressed, because you're using the other end
on the nipple.  I had sent the original info to Dr. Chen, who quoted it in
his post
May 7.  I may have misread his original post, since I answered the wrong
question.
