I am looking for information on Moosehair embroidary used by Northeastern
Native Americans in the 18th and 19th century. Is it still being used today
and where?. Are there any definitive books on how it was done? I am also
interested in woodlands embroidary designs, I have some information, such as
women had there own sets of designs that they used: leaves of different plant
cutouts made of bark which they seldom shared with other women. What were the
designs portraying (Nature)??? I also have found that the women used a
combination of cloth, beads and moosehair in their artwork: bags jackets,
moccasins, dresses, etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
