There are all sorts of unidentified lead-glaze wares in St. Augustine
during the 18th century to 1763; Both the reywares and El Morro are pretty
variable, and some of these uid types are probably related to them; if you
have good examples of hand-built glazed wares, those might be good
candidates for some sort of locally-made vessel; it seems unlikely they
would be coming from the Mexican workshops; what are the forms?
Tablewares? Serving dishes? I know Stan South has local pottery being
made in imitation of Mexican wares for 16th century Santa Elena--however, I
think they are all unglazed forms (not sure about this).
