IUD's are great if you can put up with the increased bleeding.  They
are definitely the cheapest form of prescription birth control.  Our
cost in Maine is $264, and they last TEN years.  I don't know what
they cost in other states or what physician would charge to insert.
I would not have used it years ago (pro-life) however they have
changed them a lot & they are safer now as far as infection goes.
I did use one while breastfeeding.
