The current issue of Nutrition Action Health Letter (Jan-Feb '96, Vol. 23, No
1) has an otherwise excellent article on breast cancer. Pg. 7 has a box
entitled "What to do" (to lower risks). I am grateful that breastfeeding is
mentioned as one of the ways of reducing risk ..... but get a load of the
wording: " Breastfeed each child for several months, IF POSSIBLE." (emphasis
mine).

Of course, all the other ways to reduce risk are not followed by this
qualifier. For example, you won't read "Cut back on saturated and trans
fats, IF POSSIBLE" or "Exercise at least two - and preferably four - hours a
week, IF POSSIBLE".

Arrgghhh! I've got company this week (including my neice with her 5 week old
totally BF'd baby, Thomas) and I am too busy to write them a coherent
letter. Somebody (bodies) out there, be my guest:
