At the risk of being overly simplistic, it has always troubled me that
there's been no mention of looking at other possibilities of transmission,
other than brmilk.  What about cracked nipples--esp. if the baby was thrushy
or had someother compromise to the skin?  New moms have many opportunity for
contact with blood; i.e. lochia, or (I think in this case) C-Sec incision.  I
think the medical community jumped on the assumption that it has to have been
the milk, which may not actually be.  Ms. Glaser was contacted by some LCs
with these questions and she did not respond.
