William Moss's experienmce in Quebec is similar to my own here in
Richmond, Va. When a student of mine reported that some of his
classmates were rolling a recently-discovered Civil-War "canon ball"
down the halls of the dorm like a bowling ball, I checked it out. It
was a still-fused iron bomb loaded with black powder. We called the
cops and they blew it up in their detonation chamber.
