It is my understanding that this is old news and no longer accurate. In a
conversation I had just yesterday with an attorney involved in the
situation at the time, I heard that Ruth Lawrence formally and publically
retracted that statement, as well as some other negative things she had
said about IBCLCs.   While there may have been some friction between Dr.
Lawrence and the IBCLE at one time, it is no longer the case.
