Several of you have talked about doing something BIG (and possibly
worldwide) for World Breastfeeding Week in 1996.

I have a couple of comments.  Anyone who knows the WBW Coordinator needs to
send me her name, address and phone number. The only reason JHL has not
included this information or any information on WBW for the past two years
is that NO information was sent in and I could not get the name of the
person to personally request such information with enough lead time to
place it in appropriate issues.  So, if anyone knows who this person might
be (or different persons for different places around the world--I will be
happy to publicize all), please let me know.

It has been suggested that August tends to be a slow news time. That may be
but for two years, in mid-late July and early August, very NEGATIVE
publicity about breastfeeding has occurred. I believe it is not a
coincidence that this has occurred.  We need to begin planning NOW for
something to happen that could be coordinated world wide.  People with
ideas need to share them.

Let's get something going that will really help put breastfeeding
positively on the map!
