Glenn,

I am short of time now so this be be short. Currently I have half a =
dozen or so project in various stages of production that relate to =
battlefield archeology. These include American Civil War battlefields =
Stones River, Chickamauga, and American Revolution battlefields Cowpens =
and Guilford Courthouse. I also have information on other battlefield =
surveys.

I am interested in putting together a symposium for a conference like =
SHA or SAA. =20

E-Mail me directly and let me know what type of information you need.

I have recently subscribed to the Historical Archaeology list because I =
am currently researching for a paper on the archaeology of battlefields. =
I am primarily concerned with the English Civil War, having written =
several books and articles on the history and archaeology of the war, =
but in the absence of very much systematic archaeological research on =
English battlefield I have begun to look to the U.S. for comparative =
studies of later battles but in which the musket was still being used as =
the main firearm. I have tracked down the obvious studies on the Little =
Bighorn (though this is rather too late for me as the musket was no =
longer in significant use by then). I also have reports on the Palo-Alto =
and the Fallen Timbers battlefields. However I have not been able to =
identify any other studies or to make contact with anyone directly =
involved in battlefield archaeology in the U.S.

Can anyone suggest other sites which have published reports or sites =
where there is ongoing research or put me in touch with anyone currently =
involved in battlefield research?
