Hi again,

More to talk about
1) Public Health. Well Rosemarie let me give a bit of sage advice from one who
has been in the battle for many years. You will be taking 2 steps forward and 1
back for a long time. I found 2 things work the best. a) focus on one issue
that you want changed and do not worry about the others. I had a goal of the
year, ie no bottles in the crib. b) We learn in education that you praise,
praise, correct, praise. That is very true of adults. Find something positive
to say they zap then another positive.

2) Bloody stools. The allergy is something that needs to continue to pursue
but don't forget the yeast. If this baby's gut is off because of the yeast,
this can cause the stools. There are a lot of babes who do not respond to
nystatin. You can try Gentian Violet or a new med they use for AIDS patients
called nyzerall (hope I spelled it right). It needs the ped's ok but it works
well. She can also start using some acidophilus. We have one called "Life
Start" for baby. It is a powder. Mom dampens her finger, takes a pinch of the
powder, makes a paste by rubbing the fingers together. She then applies the
paste inside the mouth before feedings. When baby is back to the breast, she
can put it on her nipples for the baby to suck off. This baby needs good flora
in the gut. Let us know how they do.
