In Reviving Ophelia, there is the suggestion that earlier menstrual periods
may be brought on by greater exposure to light at an earlier age (i.e. the
effect of electric lighting). I have been unable to find any research to
support this. Has anyone else encountered this idea? I do know that
chickens lay eggs more frequently when the lights are on.
