Couldn't agree more with Larry & Ann. Hopefully we are excavating in
soils that are the product of cultural activity, though I've dug a dry one
or two in my time. I've also had the experience of crew members thinking
they were done with the dirt upon assigning a Munsell number. Where are
the little washes due to runoff, the greasy feel of decomposed organic
material? Don't throw the baby out with the bath water though.
