For information on mocha-ware, the person to talk to is Donald
Carpentier at Eastfield Village in East Nassau, NY.  He has been doing
some experimental archaeology on Mocha-ware and has perfected the
technique to the point where, if he didn't sign the pots, etc. they
would fool even the experts.  A recent article on him can be found in
Early American Life.  His number is in the book.  Mike Bathrick
