I like this kind of statement and I wish I had the faith it takes to make it. But I'm reminded of something I learned while lurking among the treads of BEE-L - evolution does not have a goal and no species gets a pass on survival. Brother Adam, a man of the cloth no less, abandoned faith in favor of breeding. It's entirely possible that the parasitic symbiosis we all await may come from the persistence of thoughtful breeders - some of which contribute regularly to this very list.
