Hi all,

I'm looking for some help...

Right now I'm trying to standardize mid-19th century coffee measures of
weight/volume to better contextualize an archaeological assemblage of beans.

The tricky part is that the associated historic records provide a number of
different import 'types': bags, cases, drums, cans, quintals, boxes, sacks,
etc. I'm hoping to standardize to a set metric, like pounds, for all of
these.

Any thoughts on literature that might help with this standardization?

Thanks so much,
Cyler
