For the information of all, Charlie and i are friends, and simultaneously
carry on separate email exchanges--one private, the other on list. The one
on list is more rough and tumble.

That said, my point Charlie, is that when strong, inflammatory words are
used, such as "Little Rocket Boy," it detracts from reasoned discourse, and
can lead to fighting (or nuclear war) rather than education and the
resolution of issues.

I enjoy your challenging of news items and posts to the List. They are
good starting points for discussion. The discussions on this List are not
debates to be won. As you well know, there are those on the list whose
minds will never be changed, no matter how much hard evidence you present.
But we can present our interpretations of evidence politely and
respectfully.

It is by such discourse that the many other contributors and lurkers may
well benefit from hearing all sides of the arguments.
