Good Morning all!
I am reporting on a prehistoric site in Marshall County, Kansas, and amongst the prehistoric artifacts are a few historic items, including this puzzler pictured in Kansas Memory: https://www.kansasmemory.org/item/455947 .
The best we at the Kansas Historical Society have been able to come up with is that it might be an attachment...very vague. It is heavy for its size, possibly made of lead, and is pinched or crimped at the top, and then later hit by farm equipment. Does this suggest any possibilities to you learned folk?
