For Immediate Release

Hello!

The latest issue of the Old Pueblo Archaeology quarterly bulletin has just
been published electronically! This issue's feature article, Bedrock and
Boulder Mortars, Basins, Slicks, and Cupules in the Southern Southwest,
elaborates on some rather fascinating and rarely discussed - and perhaps
often unrecognized - archaeological feature types in the U.S. Southwest
borderlands from western Texas to southeastern California. This issue also
gratefully acknowledges an Arizona Humanities - National Endowment for the
Humanities CARES Act Award that helped Old Pueblo Archaeology Center get
through the loss of revenues caused by this year's COVID-19 coronavirus
pandemic, publishes a report by students who participated in Old Pueblo's
OPEN3 simulated archaeological excavation learning program, includes a
remembrance of our friend, archaeologist Doug Craig, and lists some of Old
Pueblo's upcoming activities.

Like every Old Pueblo Archaeology issue, this latest one is written in a
nontechnical format, includes ample illustrations, and is published
electronically in pdf format for on-line access. Each issue of Old Pueblo
Archaeology includes one or more feature articles about southwestern
archaeology, history, or cultures and provides news about Old Pueblo
Archaeology Center's activities and program offerings.

Previous issues of the bulletin can be viewed at Old Pueblo Archaeology
Center's <http://www.oldpueblo.org/about-us/publications/>
http://www.oldpueblo.org/about-us/publications/ page -- Check it out to get
an idea of what we include in each issue.

If you would like to subscribe, please visit our Membership web page at
