Lyle,

For 2D vector drawings, see:

http://archeozoo.org/archeozootheque/index/category/49-squelettes_en_connexion_langen_skeletons_in_connection_lang_langes_esqueletos_en_relacion_lang_

For line drawings of skeletons for use with ArcGIS (should also work with QGIS), see David Orton's work, "GIS skeletal templates for some common mammalian species"

Good luck,

Subject: Line drawings or 3d images of animal skeletons

Has anyone got any idea as to where to find editable line drawings of the standard set of animal skeletons, (deer, pig, sheep, bovine, etc.) standing with a side view in some form of vector graphics that are freeware? Or better yet in 3D?

What I am aiming to do is to select a particular bone, and fill it with a pattern to show which part of the animal is represented in the bone assemblage.

Any leads gratefully received.
