> Is there any harm in proactively treating with OA vapor while they are clustered?>
Here in rainy western Washington State many of us use the winter dribble that Randy has on his site right around the winter solstice. We break the double deeps apart and treat each seam of bees with 5 ml. of the oxalic solution when it is several deg. above freezing... I usually around 40 deg. F. or so. We have had very good luck with it and I assume that must be a lot more stressful to the bees than the sublimation application.
