Hi Justin,

In the mountains near me (fireweed sites) on Vancouver Island, I have successfully used T-posts and 4 strands of poly wire. The 'juice' is provided by 4 D-cells held in a container which has a capacitor. The lid is part of the Off/On function.

For your set-up, 6-8 T-posts would be enough. Don't forget a ground rod (rebar).
Cheers,
Steve Mitchell

Any suggestions for a temporary, fairly inexpensive electrified bear fence that I can put around a 14' trailer and leave for 4-6 weeks on end?
