Try graphing the data in Excel or one of the freeware spreadsheets. I find it easier to see the inflection point graphically, as it is usually pretty obvious (changes from a slow decline to a sudden increase, often from -.5 lbs to +2.5 - 3 lbs. / day). Here in NH we have an even stronger second flow in late summer / early fall from the goldenrod. Then, the increase can be 20+ lbs. a day at peak. It's over in a couple of weeks, but in that time the hives can easily gain 100+ lbs., just before we head into the fall dearth. Frankly, tracking and trending weight change is more useful for me to see the end of the fall flow, than it is for start of spring flow. For that I just use the beginning of the dandelion bloom.
