Hi Charles et al:

I had the same problem with my 110 volt vaporisers. I solved (?) the problem 
by making some aluminum heat shields ( 6" x 8" with a lip to prevent them 
being pushed right into the hive). I insert them and slide the vaporiser on 
top. They still overheat any comb hanging down onto them but that has not 
been a problem so far. I don't like using them with plastic frames.
