Piedmont region of NC.

The bees are usually reluctant to use the bottom quarter or third of the
frames that are right above the screen. But other than that, no real
advantage or disadvantage. I don't get/make any more screened bottom
boards, but the ones I have can continue to work out their useful lives,
until they are rotten or beaten up. No need to replace them.
