Dear Laura,
I don't have an answer but was asked about this recently myself. The mom
was trying to make her baby sleep longer. : (
I was thinking it might cause a protein overload for sure. Because the
baby would not just getting the calories this seems like a far more
complicated issue. The baby would be getting all the elements of
breastmilk plus all of the elements of formula which by themselves are
suppose to be the right amount. It seems as if the baby would be getting
very high levels of many of the elements, iron, D, protein, fats, ???
I wonder if this in fact might be extremely unhealthy.
Other thoughts?
Thank you,
