I would recommend Michael Bush's "The Practical Beekeeper" as a good
read and general reference.   His web site has the same information but the
books are better organized.  Also buy all 3 parts at the same time.

I also recommended reading and listening the Phil Chander if you have an
interest in top bar hives.  His writing is original and thought provoking.
