I'm also interested in learning more about this. I did have this situation recently with a patient whose infant was admitted to the Pediatric unit coombs positive and jaundiced. She had low milk supply and was using donor human milk. This was the first time I encountered this in the hospital. It was a close friend that donated. I wasn't sure what to do, but I believe that the hospital really wouldn't have the legal right to tell the mother that she can't use donor human milk. I just discussed risks versus benefits with her. i told her that legally I have to inform her of risks. She was fine with that and chose to continue using the donor milk. If anyone has any other policies I would also love to here about them.
