I am posting for a mom I'm seeing in private practice.  She has a 10 week old baby and has been struggling with latching.  She has a deep crescent moon shaped crack on a nipple that is not healing in spite of pumping only on that side and using APNO.  Her OB also treated her with antibiotics for mastitis because she was having intense pain throughout that breast.  I'm pretty convinced it was referred pain from the nipple trauma.  
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
