Thank you everyone, who responded (and are still responding) to my 
previous question re: osteopathy. Keep this info coming!
Interestingly enough - each list (ABM, SOBr, LactNet) has its own views 
and angles on the same problem. It is amazing how those subtle 
intricacies make the picture so multidimensional!

Here is another issue that I hope to tackle with your help.

We all know how important the first post-natal visit in the office and 
how many places are now offering the special clinics to assist mothers 
with breastfeeding IMMEDIATELY after the discharge.

But most of mothers who do stop breastfeeding are doing it in the first 
weeks post partum and it is not uncommon to see a baby breastfeeding at 
2 weeks and being switched to artificial milks by 1 or 2 months. 
Problems with insurance (coverage through mother for the first 30 days 
and then... you know...) are not helping either.

So my question is - do we have any statistics on the effects of 
different factors (including insurance, choice of pediatrician, 
availability of LC's, etc) on sustaining the breastfeeding in the first 
10-12 weeks of life?
