On May 19 there is a meeting between members of the breastfeeding community
and the Safe to Sleep collaborators sponsored by the National Institute of
Child Health and Human Development of the NIH (National Institutes of
Health). I will be attending this as well as a number of other
representatives from breastfeeding organizations and the breastfeeding
community. We will be working on messaging that promotes safe sleep while
making sure that breastfeeding does not become a casualty of a scare
campaign. I hope the meeting results in positive outcomes for both sets of
stakeholders.
