The three unidentified objects shown in this post - https://wordpress.com/post/seaverlink.wordpress.com/143 <https://wordpress.com/post/seaverlink.wordpress.com/143> - were discovered in the front yard of Seaver Farm in Michigan (built about 1880) with the use of a metal detector. All 3 contain non-ferrous metal. They are dense, suggesting lead content but appear to be composed of two different materials. A specialist ruled out the possibility that they are teeth. In the surrounding soil were brick and mortar fragments, a canning jar lid, 19th century interior door hinge, 19th century rivet button (for pants?), nails, and coal. Besides farming families, the site was also occupied for several years by college students, some of whom were pottery majors.

Can you identify these mystery blobs?
