Good Morning,

I am trying to replace a Victorian 4 panel exterior door
with a more appropriate door for a 1740 house in SE Pennsylvania. I
remember reading somewhere a general chronology for baton and panel
doors

but I cannot find it now. Can anyone out there provide me a reference
with some good door chronology data?

I have checked:

Raymond

            Early Domestic Architecture of Pennsylvania.

Isham

A Glossary of Colonial Architectural Terms

Falk

Architecture and Artifacts of the Pennsylvania Germans

Olmet
