Well, on 30 March with blue skies and temps into the mid-upper 50's I finally saw the bees bringing in pollen.  That's a good two weeks later than 'normal' (if there is such a thing, maybe 'later than in the previous two years' would be better).  Ice still on the pond and no peeping Peepers that night.  Am on the road until Friday, so, if they start this week, I will miss the exact day.

But, with a data point of one (which for some of the studies I've read about here would be considered statistically valid and suitable for both publication and proof of hypothesis), I can state disunequivocally that, since my bees have been empirically shown to bring in pollen before the Peepers peep, when I do hear the Peepers peep, even if I don't see them with my own peepers, then I can sleep well, knowing that my bees are bringing in pollen.

And that's the last peep out of me on the subject.
